Fold clothes vertically and upright in the drawer or Hang without bumped shoulder.

Here are simple and handy folding tops. Have you ever been upset when you have trouble to find clothes in the morning because of the messy drawer? Or do you feel uncomfortable to find clothes you want to wear due to the upward direction of clothes even though those are well organized. If you follow these tips, you don’t need to waste your time to find clothes in the drawer in the busy morning. You can organize and store it efficiently.

folding tips

Folding shirts and sweaters.

There are two ways to fold tops. First one is Marie Kondo style. Second is using hangers without bumped shoulder.

1. Marie Kondo style: She suggests folding vertically.

Step 1

Fold one side of the shirt across the center.

Step 2

Fold the opposite side of the shirt the same way, stopping a little before the edge, to form a rectangle.

Step 3

Fold the rectangle in half lengthwise to reinforce the shirt’s shape.

Step 4

Fold the shirt again in half or in thirds. For an extra long shirt, you might have to fold it four or five times.

Step 5

Stand the folded shirt upright and store in a drawer.

Step 6

Repeat the process with other shirts.

It doesn’t take a long time. But you should practice it a few times to fold perfectly. Once you get to know this way, you can’t go back before knowing this tip. This video will show you in detail.

  2. Using hangers

Hanging clothes on hangers loosen your clothes especially shoulders. I recommend following Marie Kondo folding way. But if you can’t avoid hanging your sweater, use padded hangers or satin hangers instead of plastic or wire hangers. In this way, you can prevent shoulder bumps and save yourself the time of ironing tops.
